Motorola has joined forces with PacketVideo in a bid to develop and deliver multimedia solutions for 3G customers
By teaming up with PacketVideo, Motorola hopes to give its users a unique and differentiated service. Its strategy is to make the applications as simple as possible while still making them exciting.
The joint venture will enable Motorola handsets to support video playback using PacketVideo’s pvPlayer technology. This system allows for two-way video communication as well as other applications.
The agreement builds on a relationship previous established between the two companies – Motorola’s investment arm, Motorola Ventures, bought into PacketVideo just last year.
