Company claims users can now access published applications and desktops on their mobile Android devices
2X software, a provider of enterprise server-based virtual computing software, has launched a new 2X Client for Android.
According to the company, users can now access published applications and desktops on their mobile Android devices. Enterprises can utilise the 2X Client for Android on any mobile Android devices to deploy business-critical applications and desktops from their data center to any location.
Previously Android users could only access Windows full desktops via a standard RDP connection on their smart devices. The new 2X Client for Android enables any Windows application or desktop to be published to Android devices through SSL-secured remote connection.
The company said installation of the software is quick and easy, and the 2X Client for Android fully integrates with Microsoft Terminal Services and Microsoft Hyper-V, as well as VMware ESX and ESXi Server, Windows 7 PC’s among many others.
The 2X Client for Android supports the 2X VirtualDesktopServer, which enables companies to experience the full benefits of desktop and application virtualization by improving desktop manageability, security, accessibility and performance.
The new 2X Client for Android features include publishing virtual desktops and applications to any Android, iOS, Windows, Linux and Mac OS; hypervisor vendor-independence; publishing desktops and applications based on username, group or IP; and universal printing and scanning.
2X Software CEO Nikolaos Makris said the 2X Client enables companies to virtually access Windows applications and desktops from any location through secure SSL connections.
"Shortly we will introduce additional mobile device management tools, as we continue to facilitate mobile application and desktop management for our enterprise customers across the globe," Makris said.
