Foodservice and hospitality-focused technology company Eatec has launched a new touch screen inventory reporting tool. The tool uses point-of-sale terminals as input devices to provide information for back-office functions.
The web-based technology is targeted at stadiums, arenas, hotels, casinos, convention centers, race tracks, theme parks and other companies with multi-outlet environments. The company hopes to be able to attract clients that want to cut down on the number of computers required to run an operation.
Peter Marguglio, president of Eatec said: When you have a limited amount of space, whether it is in a kitchen or a concession stand, it may be practical to use EatecTouch on the POS terminal to perform back-office functions rather than squeezing an additional computer into a work area.
