The mobile industry has received a boost from Nokia’s positive mid-quarter business update. According to the update, the company expects total sequential net sales growth for the Nokia group to reach approximately 20%.
Nokia Networks sales are expected to be up sequentially, but down 20% year on year, while Nokia Mobile Phones sales for the Q4 are expected to rise 25% compared with Q3.
The Finnish company now expects to meet or possibly even exceed expectations for Q4, boosted by positive performance of its rejuvenated handset business.
The update will not only be welcomed by Nokia’s investors but the mobile industry as a whole: with the market stabilizing perhaps companies can start breathing more easily.
