The US National Judicial College has received a digital courtroom system from Nortel Government Solutions to help foster its mission to provide education and professional development for judges around the world.
The system will help prepare judges for use of multimedia technology in the courtroom by providing electronic evidence capture and presentation along with digital audio and video transcripts. It will also provide secure storage and electronic access to millions of pages of evidence and thousands of hours of testimony.
Designed and integrated by Nortel Government Solutions, it includes hardware and software donated by ExhibitOne, MediaEdge and Levare.
Nortel Government CEO Chuck Saffell said: Digital courtrooms with real-time, multimedia access to evidence, testimony and other information are the wave of the judicial future. Working with the National Judicial College, we’ve created an environment where judges can be exposed to the latest technology.
