UK IT services vendor Northgate Information Solutions’ performance in the first half of its current fiscal year has been buoyed by contract wins valued at over 120m pounds ($253m).
In a trading update, Northgate revealed that it had also been named as preferred bidder on deals worth a total of 60m pounds ($126.3m), which it expects to close in the near future. As a result, the company expects trading for the full year to be in line with expectations.
Northgate recently completed the acquisition of HR outsourcing provider Arinso International. This move has helped the enlarged group secure a number of HRO contract wins in the first six months of the fiscal year, including a deal worth 16m pounds ($33.7m) over seven years with Pfizer and a seven-year deal to provide HR services to Cadbury Schweppes’ confectionary business in 68 countries.
Northgate also reported an improvement in trading conditions in its public services division. The company secured a contract worth 8.8m pounds ($18.5m) with the New South Wales Department of Housing in Australia earlier this month, and will providing hosting and management services to Wycome District Council in the UK under a 4m pound ($8.4m) deal.
