Oracle Corp is broadening the footprint of its corporate governance, risk and compliance suite to include enterprise content management and business intelligence capabilities.
The company previewed new Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and content and records management functionality in its GRC Suite gained from its recent acquisition of Stellent Inc last November. The inclusion of Stellent’s technology will allow users to collaboratively define and approve internal policies, procedures and controls for ensuring compliance.
The new Suite also incorporates new dashboard and reporting BI functionality, branded as GRC Fusion Intelligence, from the Oracle BI Suite.
Other new features include a Manager module for monitoring risk and control performance and an expanded library of access and configuration controls
GRC Suite sits as part of Oracle’s Fusion layer and integrates with its E-Business Suite, PeopleSoft Enterprise, JD Edwards and Siebel CRM applications.
The enhancements have been added as part of Oracle’s new Applications Unlimited program which aims to protect the investment by customers of software vendors that oracle has acquired in recent years.
Oracle seems be taking a serious interest in the GRC software market. The company recently formed a GRC Strategy Council which lets customers provide feedback on its GRC product roadmap.
