Nokia has signed a framework agreement with Orange for multimedia messaging service systems. The agreement is for three years, and gives Orange companies worldwide the option to use Nokia’s MMS infrastructure solution and a range of support services.
Orange UK has also signed Nokia to supply and rollout its MMS system, which was launched commercially in August. Other Orange Group companies are in talks with Nokia to deploy MMS across their networks.
Nokia’s MMS solution enables rich multimedia messages to be sent between MMS capable handsets and to legacy handsets. The solution also provides services such as content storage, voice messaging via MMS and intelligent connectivity to email.
