Pacific Life Insurance Company’s life insurance division has licensed DST Technologies’ Automated Work Distributor from CSC to help improve service, reduce processing times and make more information available in real-time to support customer service representatives.
Pacific Life, which will integrate Automated Work Distributor (AWD) with its existing third-party imaging system, will use AWD to streamline business processes in such areas as policy service, disbursements, customer service and claims.
AWD provides workflow automation, document management, imaging, internet support and customer contact management.
Approximately 250 claims and customer service specialists at Pacific Life will use AWD at its California and Nebraska operation centers.
CSC, which is the exclusive distributor of AWD to the insurance industry, will provide project management, business reengineering and IT services for the insurer’s AWD implementation.
