Raytheon, a technology solutions provider for governmental and commercial customers, has selected Mercury Computer Systems, to provide a wideband modem subsystem platform as part of Raytheon’s HDR-RF Ground Modem contract from the US Air Force.
Raytheon and Mercury Computer Systems will work together to leverage the benefits of commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) software radio processing and real waveform portability for elements of defense communications application.
Mercury will provide Raytheon with its Waveform-Ready WBDLS modem platform and SCA-compliant component portability infrastructure middleware for the software radio.
