The rSmart Group, a service provider of open source software solutions for education, has announced that several higher education institutions have selected rSmart group to provide commercial support and services for Kuali financial system, Kuali enterprise workflow and Kuali Rice.
Boston university, Illinois State university, Colorado State university, university of California at Irvine, university of California at Santa Barbara, and San Joaquin Delta College will depend on rSmart’s expertise to help them evaluate the functional fit of KFS, plan for system adoption through the development of KFS proof-of-concepts
Chris Coppola, president of rSmart group, said: Research shows that [the perceived] lack of support for open source software is the greatest barrier to adoption. I’m proud to be part of a talented team at rSmart that works with colleges and universities every day to remove that barrier and support the innovation of these education communities. Red Hat and others removed that barrier for Linux; rSmart and partners like IBM are removing it for Kuali.
