Sciemetric Instruments has entered into an agreement with Bosch Rexroth, part of the Bosch Group, to power the company’s line of highly competitive tightening and press-fit systems for automotive assembly environments.
Bosch Rexroth will be using Sciemetric’s SigPOD Press test platform to incorporate advanced manufacturing intelligence capabilities with its own PE-110 DC Press-fit systems. These systems are flexible, programmable and virtual plug-and-play solutions offering software and modular construction for fast set-up, integration and reconfiguration.
As with the full suite of SigPOD test platforms, SigPOD Press is driven by Sciemetric’s process signature verification technology, which captures and analyzes entire waveforms of complex data, delivering an accurate view of quality so manufacturers can improve their productivity and profitability.
Sciemetric’s technology is expected to bring superior quality monitoring to PE-110 DC Press-fit systems by enabling them to detect root causes of defects and allowing immediate corrective action to be taken during the production process itself.
By applying SigPOD Press to our systems, we are ensuring that we are early adopters of advanced manufacturing intelligence, said Thilo Vogler, branch manager for tightening & welding systems at Bosch Rexroth. Today we are witnessing unprecedented customer demand and competition in most of our target markets and we want to achieve the highest quality standards to give us a clear competitive edge. We are excited that our new partnership with Sciemetric will help us to maintain our leadership position in quality.
