Sega plans to enter the wireless world. It will put together a division to solely produce wireless games for mobile phone users.
Sega Mobile will be established as part of Sega’s North American online branch. It could prove to be a pioneering idea – no other major games publishers has focused its attention on wireless gaming in this way. The wireless games market is a rapidly expanding one: Datamonitor estimates there are 1.6 million gamers worldwide.
The wireless games are expected to launch this summer. The company says that customers will see titles such as Super Monkey Ball and other games that were popular on the console.
