Launches Application Performance Monitor and acquires Hyper9
SolarWinds is all set to enter the application performance and virtualisation management markets through the launch of SolarWinds Application Performance Monitor (APM) and the acquisition of Hyper9, a virtualization management software provider based in Austin, Texas.
SolarWinds APM is an application and server management product that is expected to make visible the performance of important IT services, the underlying application components, the operating system, and the Windows, Unix and Linux server resources on which they run.
The APM product pricing starts at $2,495, which includes first year of maintenance.
The virtualisation management products are expected to be priced starting at $3,000, including the first year of maintenance.
SolarWinds senior vice president of product strategy Suku Krishnaraj said the aim of the company is to solve the problems that systems administrators, network engineers, storage administrators, and virtualisation administrators face with individual products or by using the power of SolarWinds’s various products collectively to get an end-to-end view of the whole IT environment – physical and virtual.
