COMPANY PRESS RELEASE: Sybase has announced the expansion of its presence in the worldwide market, specifically the Asia-Pacific region, through a strategic alliance to be formed with Samsung SDS that will further the companies’ existing relationship.
Through this new alliance, Samsung SDS will integrate Sybase’s Enterprise Portal, EAServer 4.1 and Enterprise Application Integration products with its ACUBE (enterprise knowledge application) Communication and Community application modules, and Bizentro (ERP for SMEs), REQUBE (intelligent reporting and Cube analysis) and WiseVIEW (multi-purpose viewing tool) applications, to provide customers with a myriad of new e-Business technical capabilities. — Samsung SDS and Sybase will comarket and sell this integrated e-Business application. — This partnership follows recent key announcements illustrating the momentum Sybase is experiencing in the Asia Pacific market.
Further demonstrating its position as the leading supplier of e-Business software to the worldwide market, specifically the Asia-Pacific region, Sybase announced a strategic partnership with Samsung SDS, the leading systems integration, systems management and e-Business company in Korea. Through this partnership, Samsung SDS will integrate, brand and promote its Communication and Community ACUBE application modules with Sybase’s e-Business platform. Combined with Sybase’s Enterprise Portal, EAServer 4.1, and Enterprise Application Integration products, Samsung SDS’ Bizentro, REQUBE, WiseVIEW, and ACUBE modules will be enhanced to provide a complete e-Business solution, allowing customers a smoother migration and integration with Web services.
The integration of these technologies will provide customers with expanded technical capabilities, including the ability to manage formal and informal groups, encourage collaboration, enhance work processes and automate the information infrastructure while providing feature-rich applications that support functions such as email, instant messaging, calendaring and knowledge management. Sybase’s technology will strengthen Samsung SDS’ solution offering with a unified architectural platform, and application integration products and tools that will allow customers to leverage their existing investments while providing an open, standards-based infrastructure that doesn’t lock customers into proprietary systems.
