IT and consultancy services revenue was INR93.31bn in Q3 2010
Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has reported revenues of INR98.57bn ($2.1bn) in the third quarter of 2010, up 32% compared to INR74.45bn ($1.6bn) in the same period last year.
For the third quarter ended 31 December 2010, revenues from IT and consultancy services were INR93.31bn, compared to INR74.45bn for the same period last year.
Revenues from sale of equipment and software licenses were INR3.31bn, compared to INR2.03bn while revenue from other income in the third quarter of 2010 was INR1.94bn.
The company posted a net profit of INR23.96bn, up 30% compared to INR18.44bn in the same period a year ago.
TCS managing director and CEO N Chandrasekaran said their strategy with rigorous execution discipline has helped them capture volumes defend their margins and delivered another stellar quarter.
The company said that growth was led by the developed markets like the US and Europe with strong contributions from Asia Pacific and Middle East and Africa.
