The new transformative quality and testing partnership will raise the overall quality of IT service delivery.
Telefónica UK has appointed IT services provider NTT DATA for a new transformative quality and testing partnership.
The move extends NTT’s ties with Telefónica UK, having been appointed in 2013 as the telecommunication company’s test partner to help transform its quality assurance and testing (QAT) services.
The in-depth testing and quality across Telefónica UK will improve customer experience.
The deal is focused mainly on a risk and reward business model, under which the partnership’s value is tied directly to the CIO’s goals like reducing the total cost of ownership and enhancing the time to market for products and services.
In case of major service failures, telecoms network operators lose their revenue and the customer experience will be compromised, resulting in unbilled activity and refunds.
NTT DATA helps network operators transform their businesses and provide a better customer experience.
The rise of digital business led to massive changes in the delivery of application testing services and CIOs are searching for external trusted partners to be accountable for business and eco-system assurance.
Telefónica UK CIO Brendan O’Rourke said: “We work to deliver 99.9 per cent systems availability to our 25 million customers with continuous improvement and quality of service key to delivering that goal.
“With NTT DATA as our quality guardian we are well placed to deliver on our promise of providing a great experience to our customers.”
NTT DATA client partner Nick Smith said: “This progressive partnership will bring our people closer together, to make a real difference to Telefónica UK Limited and their customers.”
NTT DATA integrates local flexibility and agility with centrally coordinated access to global resources.
