SWE-Dish Satellite Systems, a supplier of mobile satellite communications equipment, has received an order for up to 20 SWE-DISH Drive-Away 150 systems for several Spanish broadcasters, primarily Television Espanola.
The Drive-Away 150 features a design that completely encloses the system in a sleek, rugged compartment on the top of a vehicle. The antenna deploys within 10 minutes and automatically acquires a selected satellite. The terminals ordered by Television Espanola (TVE) are expected to be delivered late in 2007 and early 2008, and deployed soon after.
Lars Jehrlander, CEO of SWE-Dish, said: All our systems, including the IPT Suitcase, Fly-Away 150 and Drive-Away 150, have been used in the most challenging environments by our international government customers such as military, police and rescue organizations. The fact that Spain’s largest national broadcasting network selects our systems highlights the strong interest in the broadcast market for the same high-quality, high-performance mobile satellite systems.
