Lets business & IT professionals leverage geospatial analytics, enhance management of complex BI environments
Analytic data offerings company Teradata and Oracle have entered into an agreement to introduce next-generation capabilities for progressive companies ready for more control, functionality, and business value from Oracle Business Intelligence technologies.
With the newly released next-generation BI capabilities, IT and business professionals can effectively leverage geospatial analytics, improve system performance and enhance management of complex BI environments.
The new capabilities include: Teradata Geospatial with Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) mapping capabilities; Teradata Aggregate Designer Optimization with OBIEE and Teradata Query Banding with OBIEE .
Teradata Geospatial with OBIEE allows for the storage, processing, and retrieval of spatial coordinate data that enables calculation of key measurements that reveal competitive insights.
Teradata Aggregate Designer Optimization with OBIEE automates the design, recommendation and creation of Virtual Cubes in Teradata, which benefits OBIEE users by speeding query performance and reducing aggregation overhead.
Teradata Query Banding with OBIEE enables easier tracking and managing of user activity and user profiles, and prioritises system access per user while improving workload management across user communities – for greater speed of insight when and where it is required.
Teradata Labs president Scott Gnau said the new capabilities released are just the latest example of the value being delivered to Teradata and Oracle Business Intelligence customers through a well-established joint engineering relationship.
"These alliance engineering resources, along with Teradata Professional Services professionals, are working to deploy each of these next-generation BI capabilities with OBIEE for joint customers eager to gain the ability to better manage new data types and improve the performance of complex BI environments," said Gnau.
