Ericom Software has announced that PowerTerm WebConnect RemoteView, an alternative to Citrix, has been selected as the remote access solution of choice for The King’s School, Canterbury.
The King’s School is an independent, secondary school that caters for some 800 students, over 600 of which are boarders. Ericom’s solution is an integral component of the schools’ IT infrastructure overhaul and modernization initiative ensuring on-demand, secure access to work based applications for staff and students alike.
The school is the latest in a line of educational establishments recognizing the value of Ericom’s server based computing solution and its benefits in realizing a modern IT infrastructure which delivers secure remote application access. Hampshire based Centerprise International, an Ericom platinum partner, worked with the school to develop and implement a comprehensive IT strategy aimed firmly at placing the school’s IT infrastructure in the twenty-first century.
Ian Platt, managing director for the UK at Ericom, said: Once again our PowerTerm WebConnect solution has proven itself as a viable option for educational organizations seeking to provide teachers and students secure application access. Ericom is winning many new customers within the education marketplace in part due to our lower costs, ease of use, and a simpler and faster implementation process compared to the alternatives.
