UK health officials are to investigate the hazards associated with using WiFi networks in schools, following worrying findings from recent reports into the potential links between this technology and health risks.
The investigation follows recent research which revealed new threats from radiation emitted from WiFi. Wireless communication networks are being increasingly adopted in UK schools, and there are concerns that children may be at risk. Some scientists fear that WiFi may cause cancer and premature senility.
The Independent has reported that several European provincial governments have already enforced bans or are limiting the use of WiFi in schools, and one school in the UK has removed part of its network after a teacher fell ill.
