Verizon Communications has launched a symmetrical Verizon FiOS internet service for Pennsylvania broadband consumers, featuring upstream and downstream connection speeds of up to 15 megabits per second.
The company has said that it has also tripled the upstream connection speed of its fastest FiOS internet service while lowering the price. This new service features a downstream connection speed of up to 30 megabits per second (Mbps) and a new upstream connection speed of up to 15Mbps.
William Petersen, president of Verizon Pennsylvania, said: Our FiOS internet customers in Pennsylvania no longer have to settle for cable upload speeds that can’t deliver the most interactive online experiences. With FiOS, you can choose ultra-fast uploading that makes sending information as quick and easy as receiving it. This is just another example of the power that Verizon delivers with fiber-optics straight into customers’ homes.
