MSN and Verizon Wireless have formed a strategic partnership that will give Verizon access to a host of MSN content. Services such as instant messaging and other content will be made available to customers with WAP enabled phones.
It is expected that WAP customers will pay a fee of $6.95 per month which would allow them Hotmail and other MSN content such as news summaries that have been especially adapted for a smaller screen. Other services are likely to follow such a ring tone downloads.
This will help give Verizon an edge when it comes to content, dragging up those critical ARPU figures.
