French ISP Groupe Wanadoo has posted improved half year and Q2 sales figures. Sales for the first half of this year totalled E918 million. This figure shows a rise of 33% compared with figures of E689 million for the corresponding period last year. The company also unveiled Q2 sales of E507 million. Wanadoo attributed its improved results to a 69% increase in Internet access sales. The increase was fuelled by a threefold rise in sales of broadband Internet access.
Investors in Wanadoo were also buoyed by the news that company chairman Nicolas Dufourcq said he was expecting Wanadoo to post a full year net profit and positive cash flow in 2003.
Groupe Wanadoo is a subsidiary of France Telecom.
