Enhances DocuShare enterprise content management platform
Xerox has acquired WaterWare Internet Services, to enhance its DocuShare enterprise content management platform.
WaterWare provides Web application, software development, integration and customisation offerings.
Through this acquisition, Xerox will enhance its DocuShare enterprise content management (ECM) platform by including the ability to capture and manage electronic health records and automate pharmacy orders.
In addition, DocuShare also gains WaterWare’s professional services team that works with organisations of all sizes to maximise the advantages of the software program.
Xerox DocuShare business unit vice president David Smith said by combining WaterWare’s expertise in health care and public sector with DocuShare’s content management strengths, they have created a system that offers specialised, industry-focused advantages.
"In document-intensive industries like these, we’ve made it easier to speed up and automate many time-consuming work practices so our clients can focus on what matters most, serving their customers," Smith said.
Xerox said that WaterWare has developed technologies on the DocuShare platform for about eight years as a systems integrator and has been a its business partner since 2003.
