Yahoo! Inc has selected Google Inc and Overture Services Inc for its Japanese service. Google will provide general web search results for the regional portal, while Overture will provide sponsored links.
The three companies have the same arrangement in the US. However, in Japan Google will also, for the first time, provide sponsored links from its AdWords service, which competes with Overture’s service.
