Alphabet is a multinational conglomerate founded on the 2nd October 2015 by Google co-founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin. Page become the CEO and Brin the president.

Alphabet is now the parent company of Google and several other companies previously owned by them. The portfolio includes subsidiaries such as Google, Calico, GV, Google Capital, Verily, X, and Google Fiber.

Alphabet was established in order to make the Google Internet business ‘cleaner and more accountable’, while also giving greater control to subsidiaries other than Google.
