What is bandwidth?

Bandwidth has two different aspects to it: a computing side and a signal processing side.

On the computing side, bandwidth is about the velocity at which data is transferred between sources. It is usually seen as ‘speed of an internet connection’.

Under computing bandwidth, network bandwidth capacity refers to information rate at each communications happen. Network bandwidth consumption refers to the amount of bits that have been used during data transfer.
