What is Google Maps?

Google Maps.

Google Maps is an app that can be used to navigate to different destinations.

Google Maps was founded in 2005 and is a web mapping service that offers satellite imagery, 360 degree panoramic street views and is available on both mobile devices and desktop.

It was developed as a C++ desktop program at Where 2 Technologies which was acquired by Google in October 2004, who then converted it into a web application.

Features have frequently been added to the service as a result of in-house development and through the acquisition of companies that have brought in capabilities such as geospatial data visualisation.

Do you know how to update the mapping service?
