IEEE is the short version for the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, a global professional organisation which focus on areas such as electronics, communications, computer engineering and science, IT, and others.
The organisation was created in 1963 following the merger of the American Institute of Electrical Engineers and the Institute of Radio Engineers.
The IEEE counts with over 430,000 members across the globe and has its main building in Piscataway, New Jersey, US.
