What is PnP?

PnP stands for plug and play. This is about making consumers’ life as easy as possible when they buy a new device by making that device operational almost instantly once switched on.

PnP reduces or in some cases completely eliminates the need for physical device configuration.

For example, smartwaches are usually straight forward to pair with a smartphone. This is PnP. In the smart home, some of the devices are also PnP, for example, Amazon’s Echo home PA.
