What is wireframe?

In computing, website wireframes are a visual guide that is used to represent the proposed lay-out of a web page.

A wireframe includes the functions available, the relative priorities of the information and functions, rules for displaying types of information and effects of different scenarios on the display.

Wireframing is used in web design to quickly make prototypes of websites in order to arrange the elements to accomplish a particular purpose.
